The Vampires are leading the way in what some call the TWHL's division of death, They are easily the best defensive team in the division. Some people like to crown the LA team this early, but the Vampires are in the driver's seat right now, and like they say "defense wins championships".

Only Melbourne and Taipei are close to Vancouver's GAA. Even the Havana team's GAA pales in comparison to the numbers the Vampires goalies have put up.

The Tyler Arnason deal from the preseason continues to pay dividends as he still leads the team in scoring despite seeing his ice time cut somewhat recently.

There have been some things heard regarding possible trades in the works though. The Vampires have been talking with some teams, and the following names keep coming up.

Jeff Heerema          0      R  RW   3  9  8  9  8  7  9  8  9  7  9  86 1 VAN
Todd Bertuzzi         0      L  RW   9  8  9  8  5  4  7  6  9  2  9  76 1 VAN
Sheldon Souray        0      L  D    8  8  9  7  9  4  8  5  6  8  9  81 1 VAN

Heerema has long been a valuable piece of this team so I would be surprised to see him traded away, but anything is possible in the fast paced world of the TWHL.

For the Vampires, this is Bob Barker reporting, at least I have more time for this now that the damn Price is Right gig is up.
